May is always a busy month in the Funds & Investment Management calendar and this year was no different.
Two days of Irish Funds events towards the end of May were the highlight. The pre-conference golf day at Luttrellstown Castle was superbly organised and a real fun day for all. A great opportunity to engage with industry professionals, collaborate and have some good fun at the same time.
The main event, the Irish Funds Conference on Thursday 23rd May at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre, clearly illustrated the impact that AI is having across the industry. The message was clear, if you are not using some form of AI then you are chasing the pack. Key topics also included Sustainability, Cross Border Distribution and ETFs. Panel of the day, for me, was the Business Leaders Perspectives moderated by Clive Bellows (NT) with a panel of Ann Prendergast (SSGA), Francesca McDonagh (Universal Investment) and Mike Hughes (Citi).
