​EMPOWERMENT is delighted to be retained by a global Fintech leader, headquartered in Ireland, to appoint a Head of AML/CTF in a PCF-52 approved position. Reporting directly to the CEO, the ideal candidate will also be a member of the ExCo.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overview and revision of AML/CTF risk assessments in line with approved methodology

  • Review and revise existing AML/CTF policies, ensuring adherence with new legal and regulatory requirements

  • Reporting to the Board on relative business risks from AML/CTF perspective, including details on breaches, remediations etc.

  • Preparation and presentation of the annual MLRO report

  • Horizon scanning and analysis of regulatory changes that may effect the business

Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree with additional relevant qualification advantageous (ACOI/AML etc.)

  • Proven experience in a Head of AML/MLRO position within financial services (Fintech/payments experience highly advantageous)

  • Expert knowledge in Sanctions and AML/CTF legislation issued by the Central Bank of Ireland

  • Proven experience building and managing a superior AML compliance programme

  • Superior communication skills, confidence in partnering at ExCo level and presenting to the Board
