Financial Accountant

​​Our client, a highly respected Investment Bank, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their expanding team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will be afforded excellent exposure to the senior management team, including the CFO.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of month end financial accounting GL close process, performing GL and system reconciliations.

• Assist with preparation of month end management accounts and reports, while contributing to analysis of monthly variances & investigation of trends

• Assist with monthly payroll run, invoice processing and expense bookings

• Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements under IFRS, internal & external audit queries and preparation of regulatory returns (monthly, quarterly & annual)

• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis for senior management.

• Assist with VAT return preparation and filings,

Experience

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA)

• Recently qualified accountant from practice or with experience gained in industry

• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, an effective team player able to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

• Strong Excel skills.

• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to act on own initiative.
